  1. Oscar files 2027 Florida rates for both companies

    Oscar Insurance Company of Florida asked for a 4.2% average rate change for 2027 and Oscar HMO asked for 10.4%. Oscar is not among the carriers leaving Florida for 2027.

  2. Oscar adds HMO plans in Tampa Bay for 2026

    Oscar announced HMO plans in seven Tampa Bay counties starting Jan 1, 2026. The list runs from Citrus to Sarasota. The plans come from Oscar Health Maintenance Organization of Florida, Inc.

  3. Oscar stops taking new members in Florida for a time

    Oscar said it would stop taking new Florida members at midnight Dec 13, 2022. Open enrollment had been strong, and other companies had left. Current members could renew, and Oscar said it would stay in Florida.

  4. Oscar opens for business in Florida

    The Florida company was formed May 4, 2018. The state licensed it June 19, 2018. It began business Jan 1, 2019 as a life and health insurer based in Plantation.
