Insurance Companies Florida is a plain-English reference for the insurance companies licensed in Florida. It is run by a licensed Florida insurance agent. One place holds each company's status, rules, claims number and rate history — with a dated source behind every fact.

How we gather information

Every fact starts from a source we can name:

• Bulletins the companies send their agents.
• Rate and form filings at the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR).
• The companies' own websites.

Each fact carries the date we last verified it. When we can't verify something, the page says "Not available" instead of guessing. And we never republish agent-only bulletins — we write our own plain summary and cite the source.

How often it's updated

• A full sweep of every company runs each Monday.
• June through November we also check storm pauses daily, because companies stop and restart new policies around named storms.
• Every phone number is re-checked by calling it at least once a quarter.
