  1. Demotech affirms the A rating

    Demotech's page on Tailrow shows its Financial Stability Rating. The rating is A, Exceptional. It was affirmed on September 17, 2026.

  2. OIR approves up to 25,000 more Citizens policies

    OIR's 2025 takeout summary lists Tailrow as approved on October 21, 2025 to take up to 25,000 Citizens policies. That was 23,000 multi peril and 2,000 wind only. The number actually taken is not in the summary.

  3. Opens with about 14,000 policies from Citizens

    Tailrow officially opened on February 18, 2025 by taking just under 14,000 Citizens policies. That was about $35 million in premium. OIR had approved 20,000. About 18,000 offers went out and 76% accepted.
