  1. AM Best affirms A+ for the ASI companies

    AM Best affirmed A+ (Superior) ratings. The outlook is stable. They are for American Strategic, ASI Preferred, ASI Select, ASI Assurance and others. The property arm had a combined ratio under 100 for a second year.

  2. Florida non renewal notices go out; first wave hits May 2024

    Non renewal letters for about 100,000 Florida policies, about half of Progressive's Florida book, began arriving. The first wave took effect May 2024 and rolled on 12 months. Progressive said it will stay in Florida.

  3. Progressive Home to drop about 100,000 of its Florida policies

    Progressive said it would non renew about 100,000 Florida home and landlord policies. It would drop DP3 and dwelling fire, insure only owner occupied homes and end some agent appointments. Loggerhead would offer cover.

  4. Progressive buys control of ARX Holding (ASI)

    The Progressive Corporation bought a controlling stake in ARX Holding Corp. on April 1, 2015. ARX is the parent of American Strategic Insurance and ASI Preferred. It is now 100% owned by Progressive.
