  1. Mercury and Olympus start a home and auto bundle across the state

    Mercury and Olympus began a statewide program. You buy it through independent agents. If you qualify, you get 10% off Mercury auto. You also get 10% off an Olympus home policy that qualifies.

  2. A Mercury unit gives up its license to sell in Florida

    Mercury Insurance Company of Florida gave up its certificate of authority on August 29, 2022. It moved all it owned and owed to Mercury Casualty Company. It was fully dissolved by November 30, 2022.

  3. OIR orders Mercury units to pay back over $2 million

    OIR did a market conduct exam. It found 13 statute violations at American Mercury Insurance and Mercury Insurance Company of Florida. Some forms and rates were not filed. The two paid $1 million in fines and costs.

  4. Mercury starts to sell car insurance in the state

    In 1997, Mercury Casualty Company got its license to sell in Florida. It began to sell car policies in January 1998. Its regional office was in Clearwater.
