  1. Demotech affirms its A rating

    Demotech's company page shows Mangrove's Financial Stability Rating of A (Exceptional). It was affirmed Sept 17, 2026. Its reinsurance use measure is 80% to 90% of premium.

  2. Third take out from Citizens, about 31,947 policies

    OIR's 2025 takeout summary lists Mangrove for about 31,947 personal residential multi peril policies. They came in the Dec 16, 2025 Citizens assumption. It was Mangrove's third of the year.

  3. First Citizens takeout, up to 81,040 policies

    Mangrove began taking personal residential multi peril policies out of Citizens on April 15, 2025. A second round came June 17, 2025. OIR listed up to 81,040 policies. Press put the total at up to 81,000.

  4. Mangrove gets its license from OIR

    OIR approved its certificate of authority. It can sell property and casualty coverage. It is for homes in all 67 counties. It sells through independent agents. Weeks later, Demotech gave it an A (Exceptional) rating.
